Are you a social butterfly, a scrapper, a creative soul? Why don't you apply to Scrap Art Studio and join their fabulous team? 1 Comment Took a time out for me today... and created a page, about me! Well, actually, two pages... but you will have to wait until tomorrow to see the other side! I used a page template from Cilenia Curtis' I Love You album and Marie H Designs' Month to Remember February both available at Scrap Art Studio. This kit is very versatile and also comes with some great templates... even only there were more hours in the day! As I always do, in a new year, I start out with goals, ambitions, resolutions... and this year is no different. One of my goals, to strengthen my walk, is spilling over into all parts of my life (as I knew it would). So, I started a faith journal of sorts... a place to keep inspirational quotes, scriptures and such... Well, here are the first two pages! I used Courtney's Digiscrappin' Kiss Me available at Scrap Art Studio. This was a fun kit and I am laying out some other pages in my mind! LOL! WOW! I can't believe it has been over a week since I last posted... and over 7 years since this picture was taken! It doesn't seem like that long ago that he was that little! I am feeling a little sad and melancholy now... makes me want to go get him from school, put in a Scooby movie, and snuggle on the couch... refusing to let him grow! But, I think he might not want any mom snuggles (sniff) even with Scooby as a bribe... and I think the school might frown a bit on it... so, instead, I scrap, I preserve, I document, and I remember! I used Val C Designs Typically You, available at Scrap Art Studio! There is a fabulous song by Matt Maher Hold Us Together. "Love will hold us together Make us a shelter to weather the storm And I'll be my brother's keeper So the whole world will know That we're not alone" I have a picture on my iphone, I can't delete it... it was a totally unposed shot of my awesome hubby and our two boys! Little man is doing amazing now, he is a happy, bouncy, energetic amazing 16 month old who keeps me on my toes. And he LOVES his big brother who also loves and adores him, so when I saw the Together kit at Scrap Art Studio I knew that I needed to scrap this photo and this song... Remember yesterday's project? The Together project? The Scripture ABC book? Well, I got another page done! I used Aria's (Lynn's) part of the Together Bundle again. These 6x6 pages are fast and fun - combine that with the amazing parts of this kit and viola, a fun page! all the layers on this one really make me smile! Started a new project... big shocker...huh? A Scripture ABC book... a way for me to be reminded to walk TOGETHER with God everyday. (Yes, I honestly need a reminder of that!) For this page, I used Aria's (Lynn's) part of the Together Bundle! It just makes me stop and reflect every time I look at it! back to art journaling... Last night, I started playing with Betty Jo's Coffee Klatsch. And, I remembered why I started art journaling... I started art journaling so that my kids would have a record of me, of my quirks, my dreams, my faith, my walk, my fears, my laughter, my love... ME! And, for good or bad, I have a coffee addiction! I am not as bad as some folks I know, but I did learn this week that if I don't have any coffee, I get a KILLER headache and am a bit "grumps"! I haven't always been this way... I haven't always liked coffee... and I wanted my kids to know this... so... that means ART JOURNAL! LOL! These pages were fun to make... and when I look at them, they make me smile! I used Betty Jo's Coffee Klatsch kit and Cilena Curtis' Flower Art Child Art Dolls both available at Scrap Art Studio Are you on Pinterest? Are you addicted? There might be a ten step program, but if so, I am not interested! I have several (OK, 50) boards... words of to live by, art journal and faith are three of my boards that have really been influencing my creating lately! Recently on my words to live by board, I pinned a poster of The ABC's of Life. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do when I saw it, but I knew I needed to pin it... Well, today it hit me! I am going to make an 8x8 art journally book all about the ABC's of Life. I am not sure of the form yet, how I am going to do each letter, if I am going to follow the poster exactly or what... but, I have started, and hey, that's half the battle right? This page still seems to be missing something... not sure what, but, sometimes, if I step away, the idea hits me... currently bracing for impact! :) I used Angie Young's Seeking Calm bundle, available at Scrap Art Studio. A fun bundle with lots of cool collage pieces. The stitches come from the Scrap Art Studio newsletter freebie. This newsletter is always fool of fun tips, great ideas, tons of inspiration and the occasional freebie! I am so into the bingo cards right now... I know, they are probably so retro, but I just am finding them so fun! and then I saw this quote... and "BINGO" an idea popped in my head this quote and the happy bingo card and the butterfly elements... it was just perfect for each other! I used the bingo card from Angie Young's Come on Get Happy and Seeking Calm at Scrap Art Studio I hope you like the page, the quote and feel inspired to get out and create something too! Have a scrap worthy day! |
