Welcome to my part of the CKCB Members' Blog Hop.
This month's challenge was to use a mask,
either one you have created or have in your stash!

You should have come here from
Spend Less, Craft More

Here is my creation...
a 5x7 page of myself at the White Cliffs of Dover.
I used the mask to make myself 'pop' off the page...
First, I imported the picture
(this is a digital page)
then copied the layer.
I lowered the opacity of the original layer,
and clipped the top layer to the mask.
(Does that make sense...LOL)

I used Follow Your Art
Turning Point Bundle
available at
Scrap Art Studio
Thanks for stopping by and now you should hop over to
Recklinghausen Musings

The full blog hop list will be published on the
CKCB
so if you get lost along the way,
head over there to find your way back onto the hop.
Don't forget to leave me a comment to let me know you were here and happy hopping!"

Took a break from the busy that is our life right now...
and made a 5x7 of one of my most favorite pictures.
I snapped this a few days ago
and it was a very challenging for me to scrap with out taking to much away from the photo.
The fabulous free kit from Today's Scrap was just the right kit to go with it!
The embellishments were the right touch
and the paper was the perfect match!
Thanks Vicky!!

working on quick pages...
just to give my brain a little down time from
school planning,
pcs planning,
track banquet planning,
new house planning,
trip planning....
sigh...
I think I need to go work on another layout! LOL!

I used Tallula Moon Design's Note to Self
available at Pickleberry Pop!

One of the amazing designers I have had the privilege of working with
has a fabulous kit she is offering
in honor of Military Spouse Appreciation Day!
Be sure to head over to Vicky Day's blog
Today's Scraps
and give her a big thanks as you download this freebie!
Check back in a few as I am getting ready to play with this kit!

It's Military Spouse Appreciation Day!
And, I want to take a moment to say THANKS to all the military spouses out there!
We have one of the toughest jobs on the planet in my opinion,
and in my 17+ years ,
I have meet many military spouses
who have become my sisters, brothers, mothers, fathers, friends, confidants,
councilors, cohorts, and lifetime memories!
I get to work with some fabulous designers everyday
and, one of them, Vicky Day of Today's Scraps
let me work with this fabulous kit...
and then said that I could offer my first piece of subway art to you all as a free download.
Just click on the image above and it should take you to a link ...

I am a little new to this whole free download thing
(like this is my first)
so let me know if this works!

Still working on my move 'to do' list
and my inner peace list...
my brain seems to do it's best thinking when it is working on something else...
maybe that means there will be a lot more pages here!
Bits and pieces of three kits used to create this page...

Been a little off kilter the last few days....
loads to do and I seem to be falling further and further behind...
but I needed some time for me,
to relax and let my mind not think
for a little bit...
so I got creative!
It does wonders for my soul!
and I hope it brought a smile to your face too!

Took a break today
and scrapped a quick 5x7
of my girl taking a break!
Uses Tallula Moon Design's
Globe Trotting!

Crazy with PCS and school stuff here...
boy scout campouts,
away track meets,
soccer games,
shipping pets
and cars
and furniture...
all while saying "see you later"
to some great folks!
And, life goes on...
and so do birthdays
and mother's day...
so today,
I took a few spare moments
(and there were very few....less than 15)
to create a quick card
and add to my stash!

Do you have one?
A happy spot?
A place that makes you smile when you look at it?

I do,
mine is in my entry way
under the stairs,
on a cabinet.
It's a votive holder from Turkey,
a plate from Poland
and a digital picture frame
which holds pictures from our various adventures....

and mostly, it's the frame that makes me smile
and the layouts that cycle through it.
I have to be careful or I can get caught up in watching those and
loose my place in what I am doing!
So, now you know why I like 5x7 layouts!
And if you want to see all of them,
check them out here!
