When no one listens, What are words for... Anyone else besides me remember this song? This month's Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog's Challengeis all pictures, no words! This is hard for me as I ALWAYS try to tell a story on my pages, even if it's just the date and the location... but I decided to hop on board and step out of my comfort zone! Boy am I glad I did! You should've come to me from Spend Less, Craft Morebut if you didn't, be sure and visit there too... you don't want to miss out on all the awesomeness on the web today! This was my fourth page with this kit, and I feel I have only scratched the surface of all it has to offer! Now be sure and visit How I Burbfor the next inspiration page on the All Pictures, No Words Counterfeit Kit Blog Challenge.
Courtney, from Courtney's Digiscrappin'has created a new kit (part of a collab) called Big Idea! This is an AMAZING kit! I had a chance to play with it today, just a few spare moments in and around all the chaos of the house! Of, course, since it was just a few short moments, it's a 5x7 page! LOL! This is a shot of our time in Lisboa at St George's Castle. This kit is PERFECT for these pictures (and so many more that I have... keep checking back) and if you want a chance to play with this kit your self, hop on over to Scrap Art Studio and grab it now!
Are you a social butterfly, a scrapper, a creative soul? Why don't you apply to Scrap Art Studio and join their fabulous team?
Mustache March... I have no idea where it comes from... if it is a military thing, and AF thing... or what... but I always am shocked when I walk into the office and see some one with a mustache that doesn't usually have one! LOL! So, this year, I decided I needed to join in and be a little goofy! I made felt mustaches.... and turned the kids loose! I am surprised at how much fun they had with them! I had no idea how many pictures I would get when I handed these mustaches to the kids! More than I could imagine! And, of course, Courtney's Digiscrappin's Boys and Noise was the perfect compliment to them! This is the left side of a two page spread... I had honestly hoped to get the right side done today, but a surprise trip to the ER (of course, that is a bit redundant isn't it, how many folks plan a visit to the ER?), my crafty time was done! And tomorrow, we will be out making more memories as it is a day off of school! Look for the page coming soon though!
My little guy will sometimes break into dance... not at every song, not every time he hears music... just when ever the mood strikes. Well, the mood apparently struck him this past weekend! We were waiting for C and K to finish up a race they were running and the race coordinators had music playing on the loud speaker so A thought he would entertain... and boy did he! I am so happy I was able to capture these moments on film (ok, really, pixels) and then, that I found this fabulous kit by Courtney's Digiscrappin'Boys and Noiseat Scrap Art Studio! This kit worked perfectly with these pictures... the right amount of boy combined with the right amount of sass without over powering the pictures!
I don't know why, but I am obsessed with the felt mustaches floating around the crafting world... pinterest, scrapbook kits, I am even seeing them on t-shirts and such! So when I saw Courtney's Digiscrappins' Boy and Noise kit with the fun mustaches and my favorite scrap color - orange, I knew I needed to play with it... of course, it seems the more I want to play, the more I have to do... and the less play time I have... So, after completing lots of chores and marking several things off the to do list this morning, I rewarded myself with a little play time! Little, being the operative word there! So, I opted for a fast 5x7 page... been a while since I have played with these... LOVE them... not only do they make me smile in my digital frame and bring a smile to my hubby's day on his desk, but they come together really quick! The hardest part of this one - narrowing down the elements to use on it, there were so many great ones in this kit!
Well, it's been a bit since I have posted.... having your external hard drive intermittently stop being recognized by your computer will certainly keep you from making much progress on anything... other than panic! Problem solved, nothing lost, other than a few fingernails as I chewed nervously, anxiously worrying about my pictures, my digital supplies... but all is good! So, today, I rewarded myself, with a handful of chocolate chips and some scrappy time! A few weeks ago, I stumbled on a new to me designer, Meagan's Creations. Some how, I got connected with her on FB... and I have to say, I LOVE her kits.. they are very me! I decided to splurge and buy myself some kits the other day... right before the hard drive issues... and, today, I got to play with one, steampunk. I am totally addicted to steampunk, not sure why... but the gears, the old timey stuff... oh, it just makes my heart swoon! And, I am totally addicted to pictures of my little guy, he, too, makes my heart swoon! And this shot of him... well, it just makes me smile
Took a time out for me today... and created a page, about me! Well, actually, two pages... but you will have to wait until tomorrow to see the other side!
Happy February first... welcome to the month of love! What is it you love? Your husband, your kids, your pets, your kindle, your running shoes, your camera? Have you ever slowed down to wonder why those things appeal to you, speak to you, make your heart go pitter patter?
Maybe it's my age, my stage in life, my growing baby (yes, he will always be the 'baby'), but I have been looking at things a little differently these days... When I saw the I Love You albumby Cilenia Curtis at Scrap Art StudioI knew it was a perfect way to preserve all those odd love feelings I am having... like 10 things I love about my oldest!
As I always do, in a new year, I start out with goals, ambitions, resolutions... and this year is no different. One of my goals, to strengthen my walk, is spilling over into all parts of my life (as I knew it would). So, I started a faith journal of sorts... a place to keep inspirational quotes, scriptures and such...
Well, here are the first two pages!
