working on quick pages...
just to give my brain a little down time from
school planning,
pcs planning,
track banquet planning,
new house planning,
trip planning....
sigh...
I think I need to go work on another layout! LOL!

I used Tallula Moon Design's Note to Self
available at Pickleberry Pop!

Took a break today
and scrapped a quick 5x7
of my girl taking a break!
Uses Tallula Moon Design's
Globe Trotting!

Well,
after a week of Monday's last week,
today is truly Monday...
and it's starting off better than last week!
I even have managed to get a quick page done
and, WOW, a blog post too!
Of course, before I get to full of myself,
it's only a 5x7 page! LOL!
Please tell me you aren't surprised!
This is one of my favorite shots of A and his daddy!
I used Tallula Moon Design's
Globe Trotting...
a great kit, not just for travel,
but for any day!

Kelli over at Tallula Moon Designs has created the most fabulous kit,
"Sweet Inspirations".
A fabulous kit for preserving all those fun times
baking cookies,
eating cookies,
creating gingerbread houses...
the possibilities are endless!
I used Kelli's awesome kit to commemorate our gingerbread decorating
at the Seward Resort over our Christmas trip in 2010.
I even stretched the bounds of this kit a bit...
Eli wasn't feeling up to par
(a little food poisoning the night before)
so he opted to rest on the couch
(with a little grump as you can tell by the picture)
and the girls created a special
"get well gingerbread man"
for him!

Today is the last day to grab Tallula Moon Designs' HallowWeird at Pickleberry Pop
It's in the Picklebarrel for only ONE DOLLAR a kit!
What a deal!
Pick up an alphabet, two element kits and three paper packs for only $6.00!

It's been a while since I have added to Chris' photo frame
and I was in the mood to get some quick pages done!
HallowWeird made it so easy to create this layout of Little Ms on her first halloween with us!

Off to create a little more...
happy scrapping!

Happy Scrapday Everyone!
Didn't you know, every day is a scrap worthy day!
Today, is a new digital challenge day at SplitCoast Stampers
and I am the challenge hostess!

This week it's time to Stretch Your Sketch...
find a sketch, not intended for a scrapbook page
and streeeettttcccch it into a scrapbook page!
Sound challenging? Nope... join on in!

For this challenge, I chose to use a card sketch from SCS (number 133 to be exact) but for some reason,
I can't get it to upload here!
Anyway, it is basically a card, with three strips across it
(you'll get the point when you see the pages)
so, here they are!!!
For this kit, I used Tallula Moon Design's Zoo Crew!
A great kit with lots of fabulous adult colors and papers!
and for more info on the challenge, check out this link here!

I admit it,
I am a little (ok probably a lot) OCD,
and no matter how I try,
that spills over into my scrapbooking!
Two page spreads just make my brain happy! LOL!
And, I really like sketches... especially if I am feeling a little stumped.
But, sketches are often only one page - or at least the one that I am in love with at that moment!
So, here comes the challenge - to stretch your one page sketch to a two pager!

Head on over to Splitcoast Stampers and check out all the details and then play along.
This sketch is from the My Creative Life workshop at Scrap Delicious.
I like all of Kelli's sketches and am a fan of the project 52 idea...
but, sometimes you just need a two page spread - ya' know?
For this two page layout of one of my most favorite subjects
(isn't he the cutest?)
I used Vicky Day's of Today's Scrap First Birthday kit which you can pick up at Digitals.
Just another up close picture of the pages...
the elements in this kit are great - could be used for either a boy or a girl!
And I LOVE the papers... so much texture!
and great patterns!

Have a wonderfully scrappy day

and remember
It isn't happy people who are thankful,
it is thankful people who are happy!

My first online home...
the first place I hung out...
the first place I started being challenged
and growing as a paper crafter was SplitCoast Stampers
Since then, I have bounced around a bit and settled in in a few places...
Digitals, FB, Scrap Art Studio to name a few.
Recently I have started updating my gallery at Splitcoast Stampers to include my digital scrapbook pages.
Well, after a few of my pages were in my gallery, I received an email asking if I wanted to be a digital challenge hostess at SCS!! Of course, I jumped at the chance and said YES!!
Well, my first challenge went live today!
I revived a challenge I used to do at Christian Paper Crafts when I was on the DT there...
Stretch Your Sketch!
I love the idea behind this challenge, because I love sketches and the versatility of them!
So, what's the idea? To take a sketch originally intended for a card and stretch it into a scrapbook page!
Since it was the first Stretch Your Sketch at Splitcoast Stampers... I went back to the first card sketch on the site!
This is the page that I came up with ...
I used Tallula Moon Design's Life In Motion Happy
You can pick up this kit at Digitals or ScrapDelicious

Virginia Beach...what an industrious city...
They took a landfill that was no longer being used as
a "dump" and turned it into a fabulous park!
Carousels, playgrounds, duck pond, a huge hill (which we loved rolling down),
open areas for kite flying and beautiful picnic grounds.
I used a fabulous template by Tallula Moon Designs (available as a part of the My Creative Life)
and the Summer Afternoon kit by Vicky Day (Today's Scraps) at Digitals.
This page came together very quickly... I think the hardest part was deciding which pictures to use...
(and in case you are wondering, yes, you will see some of these pictures
again... can we say 5x7 frame?)

Blair Drummond Animal Safari Park
One of the many zoos we have visited across the world!
This one included a drive through animal park, complete with
lions, rhinos, and water buffalos!
The big boy lion was hanging out
high up on a cat stand of sorts, watching his "girls"
(the other side of the two page spread).

I used a template
(sorry, not sure who... a free download I found somewhere...will link back if I find it)
and Tallula Moon's Zoo Crew kit.

I am lovin' this kit... great papers, fun embellies ...
